THE GAP

SPRING 2024
UNIVERSITY PROJECT

The GAP is a queer and feminist quarterly newspaper. It contains politics, the arts and other news stories surrounding the gay community from all over the world.
I designed a total of 12 spreads including the front and
back cover as well as feature articles, short reads, listings, and infographics.

The newspaper uses a flexible grid to allow for different page structures whilst still providing accessible navigational cues to aid reading. Specific use of colour and imagery creates lively pages that fit within the brand of The GAP.

The pull-out ‘the Feminist’ section disrupts the regular design by changing devices such as the number of columns and the handling of typography to cater
for long read articles .
